49ers Edge Out Chiefs

August 16, 2013

In the 49ers second preseason game they pulled off a come from behind win over the Kansas City Chiefs due to some great special teams and defensive plays. The Chiefs rather oddly kept their first string defense in for a full half of the game causing the 49ers second string offense to stumble. However, the 49ers got three sacks on Alex Smith during the first half. Overall 49ers defense was…

49ers Lose First Preseason Game To Broncos

August 8, 2013

The 49ers came out strong then ended the game weak. They played a very sloppy game that included four turnovers, one of which directly led to a defensive touchdown. However, besides this touchdown, the 49ers second and third string defense held the potent Broncos offense to a field goal. Their offense however was stagnant, though quarterback Scott Tolzien completed some nice passes. This 10-6 loss left much to be desired,…

BREAKING NEWS: 49ers Sign Eric Wright

August 8, 2013

After flirting with Eric Wright for months, and nearly trading for him until he failed his physical, the 49ers finally signed him. The 49ers voided the trade because they did not want to put him on the active roster, but after signing him from free agency they can immediately put him on the non-football injury/illness list. Niners Update

July 25, 2013

Well, Percy Harvin is out again, except this time, he’s the one creating the migraines for the Seattle Front Office. A source says that the Seahawks will temporarily place Harvin on the PUP list, waiting to see from team physicians if he’ll indeed need surgery (crossing my fingers). With Harvin’s possible injury, it appears that both the Niners and the Hawks will be missing their number one receiver for quite…

BREAKING NEWS: Eric Wright Fails Physical

July 22, 2013

Well that was embarrassing. Just days after the Eric Wright-to-SF trade was made official, sources have just revealed that the trade was voided due to Wright’s failure of the 49ers’ physical exam. Maybe the guy only has 9 toes? Good news is that it saves the team a conditional draft pick, as well as the hassle of cutting the cornerback.

UPDATE: Ahmad Brooks Assault Charges Dropped

So the Santa Clara DA’s office just released a statement detailing the dropped assault charges on 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks. While this good news in regard to keeping our players on the field, it’s almost as if Brooks got a get-out-of-charges card for absolutely no reason other than him being a professional athlete, as well as a vital part of this Niner team. Stay classy, Niners. Stay classy.
